Hare Running

40 mph is a given! With long legs and a massive stride the Hare can cover the field at great speed. Because they live in the open in scrapes, unlike Rabbits which burrow, their young come into the world with eyes wide open. The solitary nature of the Hare and its associations with pagan and mystic beliefs cause endless fascination, probably exaggerated by their nocturnal ways.
