Lilac Shade by Jim Dewar

Jim has been interested in art, particularly painting and drawing, from an early age. In the past 25 years as a professional artist, he has produced numerous portraits and caricatures but has more recently turned his attention to landscapes and seascapes. He paints mainly in watercolour but also enjoys working in oil and pastel. Jim finds great pleasure and enthusiasm in capturing the atmosphere, mood, drama and ruggedness of the Scottish Landscape and his finished painting can often result in an image of great intensity. Jim exhibits his work widely throughout the surrounding area with much success and with increasing sales as far afield as Spain, China and U.S.A., is clearly much in demand both at home and abroad. Jim currently lives with his family near the City of Dundee and works as an illustrator for a local publishing company.
