Hedgehogs love slugs! That’s why they are so popular with gardeners! That and the fascination with their 5000+ quills into which they retreat if the pet dog is around. Fido takes a sniff, touches the spikes, and decides to leave well alone! Good decision we say. They might lack good eyesight, but with brilliant hearing and sense of smell, they can locate their next meal as they shuffle around in the hedgerow.
