Lucy Campbell

Born in Perth in 1977, Lucy now lives and paints in Barcelona, Spain, though plans to return to Scotland in the very near future.  She studied at Sussex University and Brighton College and found outlets for her creative energy in various community projects, youth workshops, carnival floats and interior design.

Her work is inspired by nature, myths and fairy tales, but most of all by the highs and lows and confusion of her own experiences, brought out in paintings of her mythical character, Molly.

Lucy’s illustrative work has appeared in several books and was the topic of an anthology of Scottish poetry and short stories published by the Society of Scottish Literary Studies.  Her first solo exhibition in 2003 was a great success and the first of many exhibitions in Barcelona, Scotland and the UK, where her works  were bought by collectors and art lovers worldwide.
