Laurie Forrester

Laurie was born in 1956 in Wiltshire to Scottish parents, but grew up and was educated in Forfar, Angus. She went on to study music in Glasgow at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (1973 – 1977) and then at the Guildhall, London. Her music making, both violin and viola da gamba remained a vital inspiration for her and in 2001 she became conductor of Angus Choral Society.
Laurie passed away on the 2nd January 2006 after a short illness.
